Norton to visit Indian school
MONDAY, JULY 16, 2001

Fulfilling a promise she made to a Congressional committee, Secretary of Interior Gale Norton today will visit an Indian school in South Dakota.

Norton's busy schedule prevented her from making a visit to a school before the summer vacation started. So some students may or may not be present for Norton's visit to the Tiospa Zina school in Agency Village on the Sisseton-Wahpeton Reservation.

The school is on the Bureau of Indian Affairs list of 20 priority schools. The visit is part of future planning for the Interior's fiscal year 2003 budget.
