Norton to visit Indian school
MONDAY, JULY 16, 2001 Fulfilling a promise she made to a Congressional committee, Secretary of Interior Gale Norton today will visit an Indian school in South Dakota. Norton's busy schedule prevented her from making a visit to a school before the summer vacation started. So some students may or may not be present for Norton's visit to the Tiospa Zina school in Agency Village on the Sisseton-Wahpeton Reservation. The school is on the Bureau of Indian Affairs list of 20 priority schools. The visit is part of future planning for the Interior's fiscal year 2003 budget. Get the Story:
