N.M. battle site receives funds

The National Park Service will be digging up a site in northern New Mexico where the Jicarilla Apache Nation defeated the US Army in 1854, thanks to a $35,400 grant.

Jicarilla President Claudia Vigil-Muniz says the dig won't help preserve the history of the site.
