MAY 9, 2000 A special program at the Onondaga Nation School helps students makes an effective transition from junior high to high school. Onondaga students typically attend the all-Indian K-8 Nation school and enter Lafayette Junior/Senior High School, a public school with a 26 percent Native population. The "Bridges" program enables students from both schools to interact so new students at the high school won't experience culture shock. Get the Story:
