MAY 25, 2001 A reported 90 people showed up to a Woonsocket town meeting on Thursday to express their support for keeping the local high school's "Redmen" mascot and nickname. Some questioned why the district school board voted to change the name. The board voted 3-2 to change the name. The attorney who organized the meeting asked the board to reconsider it. Get the Story:
