Expert happy about Kennewick tests

MAY 11, 2000 A DNA expert from the University of California at Davis is happy with the recent decision by the government to perform more tests on the Native American known as Kennewick Man. He is part of a 7 member team conducting tests the government hopes will determine how Kennewick Man is related to present-day tribes who want his bones repatriated. The testing began last month and the group is expected to present its full findings to the government in September. Get the Story:
