MAY 11, 2000 Six Pueblos are protesting the elimination of the Indian education director from the Bernalillo Public Schools. The position was cut from the school district on Wednesday. The Bernalillo district has a 40 percent Native American population, many of whom come from the Pueblos affected by the budget cuts. Get the Story:
