APRIL 6, 2001 While in North Dakota, Richard West on Thursday shared his vision and goals for the new National Museum of the American Indian. Director West said decisions about the museum, which will open in Washington, DC, in 2004, were made by listening to American Indians. From building contstruction to how artifacts are presented, West said the museum will tell the past and present of Native cultures. Get the Story:
