DECEMBER 11, 2000

Despite an outpouring of support from students and the academic community, Janine Pease Pretty On Top has been unable to find a lawyer to represent her in her fight to stay on as President of the Little Big Horn College in Montana.

As a result, Crow Tribal Judge Albert Gros Ventre on Friday postponed a hearing on the issue. Pretty on Top had contacted eight lawyers but none wanted to take her case.
