JANUARY 17, 2001 A student leader who supported ousted President Janine Pease Pretty on Top said on Tuesday that he and more than 30 students have withdrawn from the Little Big Horn Tribal College on the Crow Reservation in Montana. But new President Henry Real Bird said the students would be welcomed back into the school. Real Bird addressed the college in a speech on Tuesday, calling on students to remain calm amidst changes in leadership. The crisis may not be resolved just yet. Although the tribal council on Saturday voted to remove Pretty on Top, she has vowed to fight to be re-instated. Get the Story:
