NOVEMBER 17, 2000

An oral report on the "Fighting Sioux" nickname of the University of North Dakota will be presented to President Charles Kupchella on Monday.

The report will be given by a commission which has been studying the impact of the issue. They will not make a recommendation to Kupchella, however.

Kupchella might not issue a decision on the name until after finals in December.
