Apology given to Pueblo school

OCTOBER 27, 2000 New Mexico school superintendent Michael Davis apologized on Thursday to Santo Domingo Pueblo officials for mistakingly placing the Pueblo's elementary and middle school on a list of improved schools. Schools on the list are supposed to share in a $1.84 million incentive fund. But The Albuquerque Journal discovered several mistakes on the list. Celebrations had been planned at the school and another in the district and Davis' apology initially confused officials and parents in the community, says The Journal. Get the Story:
