Tex. school votes on mascot change

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2001 The Sam Houston "Indians" are Indians no more. Students at the San Antonio, Texas, high school on Monday voted to rename themselves "The Hurricans." Hurricans was chosen by 393 votes over 344 for a raven mascot. Titans was the other choice. Get the Story:
