PBS will air an adaptation of Tony Hillerman's novel "Skinwalkers," this fall.

The feature is part of the PBS series "Mystery!" The Hillerman story is landmark in many ways: it is the first set in America and the first Native-themed episode.

"Skinwalkers" stars Adam Beech and Wes Studi. Chris Eyre of "Smoke Signals" fame directed.

Hillerman writes about two Navajo police officers.
