Citing unresolved issues, the director of the Institute of American Indian Arts Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, left her post on Wednesday.

Joanna Bigfeather, an alumnus of the Institute of American Indian Arts, joined the museum in May 1999. She told The Santa Fe New Mexican the museum "has a long way to go."

School president Della Warrior wouldn't comment to the paper about Bigfeather's departure.
