Wash. students to donate canoe to Haida Tribe

A group of students at an alternative school in Seattle, Washington, have completed work on a 40-foot canoe.

The students spent three years on the 750-year-old, 14,000-pound red cedar. They will present it to the Haida Tribe in Alaska at a potlatch next month.
