U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth awarded the children of a woman killed in a 1997 suicide bombing $313 million, saying the government of Iran must pay for behind behind the terrorist attack.

The Stern family may not be able to collect the money for the Jerusalem, Israel, incident. While Congress can pay out certain types of judgments using frozen Iranian assets, plaintiffs in terrorist cases have had trouble getting their court awards.

Lamberth recently held Iran liable for the 1983 bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon.
