Chippewa Cree Tribe sees water system in future

THURSDAY, JULY 17, 2003 The Chippewa Cree Tribe of Montana held meetings this to discuss plans for a $229 million water system that will serve the Rocky Boy's Reservation and the local community. The tribe has rights to 10,000 acre-feet of water a year from the Tiber Dam, which will feed the system. Funding for the project is expected to be released in 2004, with construction eyed for 2005.
