MONDAY, JULY 14, 2003 Basketball pros from throughout Indian Country took part in the National Basketball Association's national tournament. The Native American Basketball Invitational was held in Phoenix, Arizona, at the America West Arena, last Thursday through Sunday. Sponsors included Nike and the Phoenix Suns, the NBA team. The final four boys teams were Monument Valley (Navajo Nation), Concho (Oklahoma), Ganado (Navajo Nation) and Riverside (Oklahoma). The final four girls teams were Monument Valley (Navajo Nation), Concho (Oklahoma), Tuba City (Navajo Nation). Get the Story:
