Native men accused of rape with racial overtones

MONDAY, JULY 14, 2003 Police in Alaska are investigating the beating and rape of a 17-year-old girl as a hate crime. The girl said two of three assailants were Native and made racial comments while they attacked her. She could not describe the third, who acted as a lookout, The Anchorage Daily News reported. Police have arrested one man in connection with the incident. Get the Story:
