Minn. returns 800 acres to White Earth Nation

The state of Minnesota returned 800 acres to the White Earth Nation, completing the transfer of 10,000 acres of state and federal land to the tribe.

The land is located within reservation boundaries and will be held in trust for the tribe.

The transfer was authorized by the White Earth Land Settlement Act of 1986.
