University's Native science program out of funds

TUESDAY, JULY 8, 2003 The University of Washington's Sciences and Tribes Educational Partnership, a summer program that combines science with traditional knowledge, has run out of grant support money, The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports. Professor Kathryn Little said the school won't keep the program alive once the funds run out. But some elements might continue at reservation schools, she said. This summer, 45 Native students from Pacific Northwest tribes participated in the four-week program. Get the Story:
