Native women mobilized by sexual assault verdict

TUESDAY, JULY 8, 2003 Native women in Saskatchewan are lobbying the government to appeal the recent acquittal of two men accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old Cree girl. The women were outraged by the verdict, handed down late last month. They are working with the Native Women's Association of Canada to organize within the province. Get the Story:
