Tribal housing employees investigated by FBI

FRIDAY, JUNE 27, 2003 The FBI paid a recent visit to the Navajo Nation's Division of Social Services as part of an investigation into the alleged misuse of federal housing funds, The Gallup Independent reports. Six permanent employees have been fired and four more temporary ones have been fired as part of the ongoing probe. A tribal spokesperson said the FBI was looking into misappropriation of federal block grants. Get the Story:
