Tesuque Pueblo in New Mexico has broken ground on a new church to replace the historic one that was burned last June.

Although the tribe operates a casino, funds for the $1.2 million, 4,986-square-foot structure have being raised through other methods, including $40,000 from a priest and donations from other organization. The tribe has about $500,000 to go.
