N.M. film festival celebrates Native youth

THURSDAY, JUNE 26, 2003 The Na'al Kid Summer Film Festival is being held at San Juan College in New Mexico Friday through Sunday. The festival showcases Native youth involvement in film. Features include the award-winning Inuit film "The Fast Runner," the Navajo girls basketball documentary "Lady Warriors" and "Thorn Grass," a movie about a transgendered Navajo youth. Get the Story:
