Connecticut's two tribal casinos reported strong slot machine earnings for the month of May.

Foxwoods Resort Casino, owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, took in $74.6 million. Mohegan Sun, owned by the Mohegan Tribe, took in $70.1 million.

For both tribes, it was their second-best month ever. The high earnings were attributed to rainy weather.
