Okla. judge says tribal office is Indian Country

TUESDAY, JUNE 10, 2003 An Oklahoma district county judge has declared the headquarters of the United Keetoowah Band is Indian Country, The Tahlequah Daily Press reported. The judge said the property is free from state jurisdiction. The tribe is looking for ways to establish its land base. Get the Story:
