State wants Mich. tribal members to pay taxes

The state of Michigan wants members of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community of Michigan to pay state taxes, WLUC TV 6 reports.

Former chairman Fred Dakota doesn't think the idea is a good one. He is proposing an alternative that he says will preserve tribal sovereignty.
