Archaeologists in Oklahoma have been excavating the site where a Choctaw family lived during the 1830s and 1840s after being removed from Mississippi.

The site, located in Ouachita National Forest, seems to be unique in the number of Choctaw pottery artifacts uncovered, according to an archaeologist. It is located in what would later be called Kulli Tuklo, a Choctaw community.
