Mohegan tribal youth ready take on the world

THURSDAY, JUNE 5, 2003 Rachel Beth Sayet, a member of the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut, has big plans for her future. The 17-year-old is graduating high school and will attend Cornell University this fall. She plans to major in hotel administration and hopes to open her own business some day. "I kind of want to be in charge of it all," she tells The New London Day. Sayet is the daughter of tribal historian Melissa Tantaquidgeon and grand-niece of tribal elder Gladys Tantaquidgeon.
