Woman sworn in to lead Tohono O'odham Nation

TUESDAY, JUNE 3, 2003 The Tohono O'odham Nation of Arizona swore in its first woman chairman, Vivian Juan-Saunders. Juan-Saunders and running mate Ned Norris Jr. defeated incumbents Edward Manuel and Henry A. Ramon in the May 24 election. The pair received 60 percent of the vote. Get the Story:
