Ore. tribes build monument to local veterans

TUESDAY, MAY 27, 2003 The Confederated Grand Ronde Tribes have built a monument to honor Indian and non-Indian veterans. The monument has nearly 2,000 names of local veterans. More names are expected to be added. Tribal members raised $450,000 to build the structure. Get the Story:
