N.M. tribes reach water sharing agreement

WEDNESDAY, MAY 21, 2003 Two tribes in northern New Mexico have reached a water sharing agreement with the city of Española. The deal calls for Santa Clara Pueblo, San Juan Pueblo and the city to develop a regional water and wastewater development project. The city is experiencing clean water and wants to work with the tribes and other users. The tribes' reservations abut the city. The tribe also own trust land within city limits. Get the Story:
