Massacre feared on Brazilian reservation

WEDNESDAY, MAY 14, 2003 The Brazilian government is hoping to avoid a clash on a Indian reserve that has been invaded by 5,000 peasants. The peasants are reported to be armed with guns and machetes. Indian rights workers say this could lead to a massacre of the Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau Tribe, an isolated and small tribe of 350. Get the Story:
