A member of the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe of South Dakota will go to trial July 14 to face voter fraud charges, The Sioux Falls Argus Leader reports.

Rebecca Red Earth-Villeda is charged with eight counts of falsifying signatures on absentee-ballot applications for last year's contested general election. She is alleged to have forged documents for voters on the Crow Creek Sioux Reservation.

The state subpoenaed Crow Creek tribal members as part of its investigation. At first, the tribe refused to accept the subpoenas but later accepted them.
