The Norwich Bulletin in an editorial today says a decision to allow the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation to control water resources should be investigated by the state.

The paper says the decision appears to have been made in secret. The paper says local towns will be under the mercy of the tribe, a "an out-of-state entity, a 'dependent, domestic nation.'"

"That's why state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal ought to have a look at just what took place here to make certain that due process was followed," the paper concludes.
