The state of South Dakota restarted work at a burial ground along the Missouri River as members of the Yankton Sioux Tribe protested.

Last summer, state workers uncovered remains and other items at the site. The tribe went to court to prevent additional work.

A federal judge last month said the said should return some of the dirt that was removed. On Tuesday, workers were transferring the dirt and additional remains were found.

Tribal members say they are still not being properly consulted. They have set up a protest camp at the site.
