WEDNESDAY, MAY 7, 2003 A Minnesota Senate committee heard testimony on a proposed urban casino that would be operated by two Ojibwe tribes. Due to their remote location, the White Earth and Red Lake bands haven't benefited from the Indian gaming boom. An amendment under consideration would authorize a casino in the Twin Cities area.
