Tohono O'odham Nation to go to polls next month

TUESDAY, APRIL 29, 2003 The Tohono O'odham Nation of Arizona will hold a general election May 24. Incumbent chairman Edward Manuel and vice-chairman Henry Ramon will face Vivian Juan-Saunders and running mate Ned Norris, Jr. In 1999, Manuel defeated Juan-Saunders and his then-running mate to gain re-election. Juan-Saunders is a vice president for education at Tohono O'odham Community College. Norris is the director of marketing and public relations for the O'odham Gaming Authority. Get the Story:
