Opposition voiced to expansion of bingo hall

MONDAY, APRIL 28, 2003 A provision in a new compact signed by the Ho-Chunk Nation and Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle (D) authorizes the expansion of the tribe's bingo hall in Madison to a full casino. The compact requires the issue to be put before voters. But members of the Madison city council say they oppose the idea. Get the Story:
