TUESDAY, APRIL 22, 2003 A secret settlement in the wrongful death case of Robert "Boo" Many Horses might help Indian and non-Indian relations in South Dakota, The Sioux Falls Argus Leader says in an editorial today. Many Horses, 22, was found stuffed inside a garbage can in a town near the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation. Three White youths who were last seen with him were named in a $1 million suit, which has been settled out of court. Details aren't being disclosed. "More work is needed, as everyone in the community knows," the paper says. "Ending a century of suspicion and distrust doesn't happen overnight." Get the Story:
