Bush leaves Indian children behind says official

An official for schools on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming criticized the No Child Left Behind Act and standardized testing as biased.

Speaking at a Tribal Education Summit, Wyoming Indian Schools Superintendent Lonny Hoffman said minority students don't perform well on the state's standard assessment test. As a result, they will be punished by the No Child Left Behind Act, which ties federal funding to school performance.
