Navajo elders share knowledge with students

THURSDAY, APRIL 10, 2003 Shiprock High School in New Mexico is the site of the the Environmental Alliance for Senior Involvement pilot program. The project pairs Navajo elders with high school students. Together, they teach environmental issues to elementary students. Shiprock High School is only one of three sites chosen nationwide for the program, which is a joint venture of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Environmental Alliance for Senior Involvement, a national non-profit.
