WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9, 2003

The Miami Nation contributed more than was allowed to the campaign of Rep. John Sullivan, The Daily Oklahoman reports.

The Federal Election Commission conducted an audit of Sullivan's founds and found that the tribe's Business Development Fund gave $6,500. But since the fund was not qualified as a political action committee, it was only allowed to give a total of $2,000.

The money is being refunded, the paper reported, and no fines were imposed.
