Wis. tribes among top political donors in state

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9, 2003 Three of the top 10 soft money donors in Wisconsin are tribal governments, according to the group Common Cause. The Ho-Chunk Nation headed the list with $500,000 in donations to Democratic interests. The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe was ranked fourth, with $200,000 to Democrats, while the the Oneida Nation was 10th with $60,000 to Republican and Democratic interests.
