The British Columbia government has reached a tentative agreement with the Snuneymuxw First Nation, CBC reports.

The deal would increase the size of the band's reserve, secure fishing rights, remove the band's tax-exempt status, allow the band to collect property taxes and ensure the band receives revenue from natural resources on traditional territory.

Details are to be released later this month, CBC said.
