Unit with tribal members deployed to Kuwait

FRIDAY, APRIL 4, 2003 An Army National Guard unit with at least 24 tribal members was deployed to Kuwait last Wednesday, The Navajo Times reports. The 2220th Transportation Company has Navajo, Hopi and Apache tribal members. Geri Kee-Yazzie, the wife of Sgt. Roland Yazzie, said her husband and other members welcome donations of telephone cards, beef jerky, baby wipes, lip balm, candy, gum, sunflower seeds, local newspapers and other non-perishable items.
