THURSDAY, APRIL 3, 2003

A Blackfeet Nation court is considering a case involving a dispute over the leadership of the Montana tribe.

William "Allen" Talks About was removed as chairman of the tribal council by fellow council members. He believes the action was instigated by his probes into the tribe's finances.

Jay St. Goddard is the new chairman. He is being represented by tribal attorney Joe McKay, who also represents some but not all council members in the case.
