Supreme Court panel to discuss Inyo County case
MONDAY, MARCH 31, 2003

The Native American Rights Fund, National Congress of American Indians, and the Washington, D.C. Chapter of the Native American Bar Association will sponsor a panel discussion of Inyo County v. Bishop Paiute Tribe on:

Monday, March 31st, 2003

Program Overview: The issue in Inyo County v. Bishop Paiute Tribe is whether state law enforcement officers may execute search warrants against tribal governments and their property. The United States Supreme Court will hear oral argument in the case on Monday, March 31, at 10:00 a.m. The panel will include experts in the jurisprudence of Federal Indian Law who will offer their impressions of the argument and will discuss the possible outcomes and implications of the Supreme Court's decision.
