The Bureau of Indian Affairs is being asked to prevent an Oklahoma tribe from opening a bingo hall in New York.

A New York state lawmaker says issues over the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe's sovereignty need to be resolved first. The tribe wants to open a bingo hall on 229 acres of land considered ancestral territory.
